Probably not. Certainly not if you were relying on the Government because if there’s one thing we know about Enda Kenny’s cabinet, it’s that they’re selective when it comes to the truth.
The Pro Life Campaign has launched a new initiative called the Simple Truth campaign. As the name implies, the aim is to spread the real facts about the abortion Act introduced by the Government in July 2013 – facts they have been only too happy to hide up to now.
So what is the truth?
Abortion is legal for the full 9 months of pregnancy where there is a threat of suicide. And the Government introduced this terrible provision even though the experts told them last year that abortion is never a treatment for suicide. But that didn’t matter, not to Enda Kenny and not to his Government.
