Disgraced ex-OCI boss Pat Hickey has announced his resignation as member of the executive board at the organisation.
Mr. Hickey’s reputation became tarnished beyond repair after his involvement in a ticket-touting scandal that brought national shame to Irish athletes.
Mr. Hickey was detained by Brazilian police and spent time in jail after charges were brought against him. He still maintains his innocence in relation to the scandal.
The trial for these charges will be held in Brazil in late November.
