Gardai in Co Offal have launched an investigation after an 88 year old pensioner was terrorised in her own home by a group of men.
According to The Offaly Express newspaper the shaken pensioner was submitted to a traumatic experience when the burglars broke into her home in the Croghan Hill area of Co. Offaly.
The disgraceful attack which occurred on Wednesday 20th of December seen the heartless thugs hold the vunerable pensioner hostage threatening her with a screwdriver before they escaped with a sum of money believed to be the woman’s pension.
Although the pensioner was not seriously injured during the robbery Gardai say she has been left badly shaken by the incident.
