Authorities are saying that a 77-yr-old woman who was shot in the leg last night in Dublin was not the intended target.
The great grandmother opened the door of her home at Oliver Plunkett Avenue in Monkstown at 11.20pm last night when a lone gunman shot her in the leg and ran off.
The coward left the elderly lady shot at her doorstep.
She’s said to be recovering in hospital tonight. Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward or contact them on the Confidential Line on 1800-66-61-11.
