An Elderly woman has been left badly shaken and terrified after a group of thieves despicably broke into her home in broad daylight.
According to Dublin Live, the pensioner aged in her 70s has been left in shock following the incident which occurred in Balybrack on Wednesday afternoon.
Dublin Live say the woman who lives with her son was left badly shaken after the ruthless thugs made their way into the house at approximatley 1pm that afternoon.
Although no items were stolen in the terrifying incident, the woman’s son told the paper that his mother has been left deeply upset by the incident.
It is understood the thugs made their way into the pensioner’s home by forcing the front door open with a crowbar.
However upon discovering someone was inside the house they quick fled the scene in a sliver Ford Focus hatchback car.
Gardai say they have been informed about the incident and an investigation is currently ongoing.
