Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after an elderly woman was the victim of a robbery whilst attending a hospital last week.
According to Dublin Live, the investigation comes after the 70 year old woman had her money, phone and other belongings taken from whilst she was waiting at St Colmcille Hospital, on Wednesday the 16th of May.
Although the woman received no major injuries during the incident, it is believed she was left badly shaken following the incident which occurred at approximately 2pm.
Gardaí investigating the incident say they have reviewed CCTV footage and have talked to staff about the incident.
They also say they are currently searching for a mam who fled the scene with a the elderly woman’s belongings.
