Disgraceful: South African woman speaks of her shock after receiving racist abuse whilst putting Kerry GAA flag on her car

A South African woman has recently spoken of her shock after she received disgraceful racist abuse after she a Kerry GAA flag on her car.

The woman named Beverley and her husband Dermot, were subjected to racist abuse from a member of the public when she put the Kerry flag on her car in Tralee recently. The despicable individual shamefully told Beverley to get her “filthy hands” off the flag. Beverley who has been a resident in Ireland for the past 15 years said she was deeply hurt by the abuse, but insisted she would not stop supporting the Kerry team.
Beverley told reporters: “Everybody came to a standstill.” “They thought maybe we had the argument with him. “We did not. He was the one who had a problem with us, over me handling the flag. “We just left here. We got into the car and we were shocked.”

Meanwhile the Chairman of Kerry Supporters Club Donal O’Leary slammed the mans disgraceful abuse saying what was said did not reflect the views of the majority of Kerry supporters. Mr O’Leary told Radio Kerry this afternoon. ” We here at Kerry GAA are completely against racism and highly value everybody.” “Everybody is welcome to come and wear the green and gold. We’d have no problem with that.”
