The number of homeless people using emergency accommondation has risen yet again according to new figures released by the Department of Housing.
The figures for June shows that there were 5,036 homeless adults in June, up from 4,922 in May.
In June there were 1,365 families in homeless accommodation which is a staggering 53 more families than the previous month.
There were 2,895 children classed as homeless in June which is disgracefully up 118 more than in May.
In total there were 7,941 adults and children registered as homeless in June.
The Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government claim that they are currently trying to move families out of hotels and B&Bs in the Dublin area.
