A small number of thugs have given Ireland a bad name today after they disrespected the newly erected “Haunted Soldier” memorial statue was vandalised.
Red paint was thrown over the sculpture at 2am in St. Stephen’s Green.
It really does beggar belief how some small-minded people can vandalise the statue that represents so many Irish men who lost their lives in World War I.
It’s understood that the designer and owner of the statue are said to be devastated at the act of thuggery.
