There has been consternation online over an article published on “PinkNews” claiming that 4-yr-old Prince George is turning into a gay-icon overnight.
PinkNews used the headline “People think Prince George looks fabulous in this new photo”
The article highlights how seemingly Prince George has become a “gay icon overnight” with many social media users calling for a swift and fortright apology to the 4-yr-old and his family.
The most common expressions used to describe the stunt were “disgusting” and “sick”.
Politician Jim Allister called the article “grossly offensive” and said “sexualising a young child in this fashion is entirely inappropriate”.
He continued: “To take an image of a little boy and to fantasise of him being an icon for a life defined by sex is outrageous and sick.”
