Gardaí in Co Louth gave launched an investigation after a 10 week old baby girl suffered serious injuries in a domestic incident in Ardee.
Reports say the the young baby was injured in a domestic incident at an address believed to be her home on Bridge Street Ardee village.
The extent of the injuries are known but we are not in a position to release them as there is a garda investigation going on.
The little girl has been transferred from Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda to Temple Street Hospital, Dublin.
The little girl is said to have received bad head injuries.
Local media reports the young baby is currently receiving treatment in hospital and her condition is described as serious.
