Dublin Fire Brigade are inundated with 999 called at present, receiving one every 40 seconds. On the busiest night of the year for emergency services, DFB received 197 999 calls between 4pm and 7:30pm.

The emergency services experienced anti-social behaviour towards them as they dealt with a house fire in Balbriggan. There were no injuries. A bonfire built in Donnybrook set fire to surrounding trees which had to be put out by DFB. A number of small bonfires also had to be put out around Dublin.

Dublin Fire Brigade have been tweeting throughout the evening urging people to celebrate safely. They urge anyone with an emergency to contact them on 999 or 112.
