Households in Dublin city will face an increase in the coming weeks after City Bin announced that they will be introducing a new levy to deal with the cost of recycling.
The move which comes just a few days after another waste disposal company Panda decided to introduce a €21 levy, City Bin say they will be introducing a new levy of €22.80 to cover the cost of recycling.
It is expected that the new levy which come into effect on April 1st will see customers spending an €1.90 on their monthly waste charges.
In a letter issued to their customers on Friday, City Bin say the charges are being introduced as the disposing of recycled waste has become significantly dearer in recent at recycling facilities in recent months.
