Speaking candidly on TV3’s The Tonight Show last night, Eamon Dunphy’s disgust with the state of the country was clear.
Condemning the multiple problems surrounding us at present, such as the homeless crisis and the endless hospital waiting lists, the 72-year old said Ireland needs to declare a state of emergency.
A 200billion debt remains here, and the “crash will never end for our grandchildren”, Dunphy said.
He called the Irish people “amazing” in how they deal with things, but added that he is not optimistic for the future of the country.
“What on earth did we fight for our freedom for? To live in a kip like this?” Dunphy questioned.
