Ed Sheeran is facing legal action over allegations that he made illegal use of Marvin Gaye’s classic ‘Let’s get it on’ for his own song ‘Thinking out loud.’
The lawsuit has been brought forward by Structured Asset Sales (SAS), the entity that owns part of the copyright of Gaye’s hit.
According to the legal papers, Sheeran’s track ‘copies melody, rhythms, harmonies, drums, bass line, backing chorus, tempo, syncopation and looping’ from Gaye’s all-time classic.
This is the second time that Sheeran faces legal action over ‘Thinking out Loud’.
