The French government has been forced to build a new bullet and bomb proof perimeter around the Eiffel Tower in Paris due to the never-ending threat of another Muslim terrorist atrocity.
The permeant security fixtures will feature bullet proof glass walls measuring 6.5cm thick will form two sides of the square, with the other two blocked off by 3.24m high metal barriers and 420 solid blocks will then surround that perimeter to prevent vehicular attack which is very popular with Islamic terrorists.
The fixtures will be completed in mid-July and replace a temporary security perimeter in place since 2016. It is expected to cost the French tax payer at least €35 million.
France has fallen victim to numerous terrorist attacks in the name of Islam, including a truck attack on a veranda popular with tourists in Nice on Bastille Day, 2016. 84 people were killed when a Muslim terrorist ploughed a truck into families with young children gathered to watch a fireworks display.
Parisian citizens however, have expressed dismay at the high cost of the security measures and even more disconcerting, the rumination of the aesthetics of the area around the historic monument.
Tragically, the authorities have informed them that this is simply the new normal in Western Europe.
