The tragic trend of road deaths continues this afternoon, as an elderly man sadly lost his life in a crash in Cork this morning.
The accident, which involved two cars and a truck, happened on the N25 Midleton to Castlemartyr Road just before 11am.
A man in his 80s died at the scene, and two other people were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
