Bucking the trend of a Labour demolition, in an absolutely mindboggling turnaround, Joan Burton has astonishingly managed to get the last seat in her constituency of Dublin West.
From late last night and early this morning, early exit polls all predicted Joan Burton was about to depart the Dail for good.
However, as the afternoon moved forward, it started to become evident that the people of Dublin West were unbelievably transferring their votes to Burton.
She got in and kept her seat on the 5th count, just ahead of the Green party candidate.
