Election 2016: Labour announces plans to introduce widespread abortion

The Labour party has released new plans for an abortion law “broadly in line” with the UK 1967 Abortion Act.
So it makes sense to look at Britain and see exactly what kind of society they want to see here.
In England and Wales 1 in 4 pregnancies end in abortion.  To put that in context, think of 4 people who matter in your life.  Which one could you do without?
Abortion is legal in England under the 1967 Act up to 24 weeks (6 months) for any reason.  It’s legal up to birth if the unborn baby is diagnosed with a disability.  Today in England, 90% of babies diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome are aborted.
Labour needs to explain whether they want to see this happening in Ireland and if not, how they will manage to do what England couldn’t.
Social media has reacted to the announcements by Labour over their abortion plans.
One Cork woman said:
“Labour needs to explain why they think unborn babies are not equal to the rest of us – why are they not entitled to the same right to life?”
Another said:
“Why does Labour want to discriminate against unborn babies?”
One thing is for sure, with the party’s latest figures as low as less than 4% in the latest polls, the emergence of planned widespread abortion will only further add to their downfall.
