Emergency diverted after US-bound Aer Lingus flight turns back to Dublin following an onboard medical emergency




Aer Lingus flight EI-123 on its way to Chicago, USA was forced to return to Dublin airport this afternoon after an onboard medical emergency occurred.

It’s understood that the crew were made aware of a passenger in some sort of medical distress about 1 hour into the flight.

Another passenger who happened to be a doctor is said to have helped assist the sick passenger and also helped crew determine whether to turn back or not.

The flight landed at 3:35pm and the passenger was assisted by ground staff.
