Emergency services carry out two separate rescue operations for two men at rivers in Limerick and Cork




Emergency services across Limerick and Cork were dispatched to the River Shannon and River Lee respectively, as two males were seen entering the water.

A young man in his 20s or early 30s was pulled from the water in Limerick and transferred to University Hospital Limerick in a life-threatening condition.

Elsewhere in Cork, another man was rescued from the River Lee and rushed to hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
