In an emotionally-driven interview on tonight’s Late Late Show, Kerry footballer Kieran Donaghy spoke about his father’s battle with alcoholism and gambling.
33-yr-old Donaghy has written a autobiography about his life and of which he depicts a harsh divorce his parents went through when he was 11.
The 6ft 5″ gently spoken giant said he had loved both his parents but was open about how difficult the time was for him, especially as he was the oldest of three children.
Donaghy finished by saying he hopes to be back out in the Kerry colours in the 2017 season.
