RTE presenter Des Cahill spoke emotionally on last night’s Late Late Show about the tragic loss his family experienced before he was born.
The friendly Dubliner told of how he discovered schoolbags in the attic of his home and that he eventually found out that they were of siblings he had that he never knew of.
Sadly Des’s father was married to his first wife who drowned along with his brother and sister before he was born.
His father married Des’s mother and the incident wasn’t really discussed much after that, but Des feels strongly that they were his siblings and he remembers them for it.
He also spoke about his early career and how he still loves presenting GAA shows on RTE.
