England Rugby Union coach Eddie Jones apologises to both Ireland and Wales after offensive comments

England Rugby Union coach Eddie Jones has issued a statement to apologise to the people of Ireland and Wales after he was seen on video making offensive comments about both teams.

In week when both Ireland and England will go head to head at Twickenham, the English coach was the subject of widespread criticism after he was caught on video issuing insults to both nations.

In the video which was posted on social media, Jones can be seen calling the Irish ‘scummy’ and Wales ‘a s***t Little place’.

It is understood the English coach made the comments whilst speaking at a leadership conference for Fuso.

The short video which has not gone down well both the Irish and the Welsh, Jones can be seen saying the following: “We’ve played 23 Tests and have only lost one Test to the scummy Irish. I’m still dirty about that game. But we will get that back!”

“We will get that back, don’t worry, we have them next year at home, we will get ’em back!”

Before turning his attentions to the Welsh saying: “Are there any Welsh people here? So it’s this little s*** place that has got three million people. Three million!”

Jones who has since apologised for his remarks released a brief statement on Wednesday saying he was very sorry for what he said about both countries and there was no excuse for his comments.
