The ESB have confirmed that in the region of 12,000 homes and businesses remain without power this morning following Storm Ali.
Although crews have worked relentlessly hard to restore power to homes across the country, the company say some customers will be without power for a second consecutive day.
In a brief statement the company said areas of counties Cavan, Monaghan, Longford and Galway are still without power this morning.
The company say they hope to all power supplies restored by the weekend.
