Mr. Juncker has said that ‘Ireland must obey the ruling,’ referring to last week’s bombshell revelation that Ireland must claim €13bn in back taxes from the Apple corporation.
In a hastily convened meeting, politicians here agreed to appeal the EU ruling, citing that Apple paid all its due taxes.
The Dáil will be recalled on Wednesday, to rubber stamp the decision to appeal.
