Europe to intervene: European Parliament to hold talks about Ireland’s homelessness crisis which is now rated one of the fastest




The European Parliament will hold a meeting this evening to discuss the rapid increase of homelessness in Ireland.

The talks come after recent figures show that the country has the fastest rate of homelessness in the EU.

According to a recent report published by the Department of Housing there were over 2,500 children homeless in December, with more than 7,000 families overall without permanent accommodation at the years end.

It is understood Minister’s from all across Europe will hold discussions in order to come up with solutions to address the growing situation.
