The political merry go round may still be ongoing but it is understood that the first round of talks between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have went well this evening.
The much talked about round of talks got underway this evening after both party leaders agreed to discuss the possibility of forming a coalition, although the exact details of the meeting have yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile the acting Taoiseach Enda Kenny said all party representatives who were elected have a duty be mindful of their responsibilities to those who elected them.
It is expected further talks will continue tomorrow with both parties expected to workout a framework of policies that could be implemented in a Fine Gael-led minority Government
