In a rather bizarre ruling the Ukrainian Government have banned American actor and part time police officer Stephen Seagal from entering the country for the next five years.
The actor who is best known for his roles in the Under Siege movies has been banned from entering Ukrainian territory after the country’s defence forces deemed him a National Security Threat.
Seagal who is a mixed martial arts expert was banned from entering the country this week by the Ukrainian foreign minister Pavlo Klimkin.
Although no official reason has been given as to why the Ukrainian Government decided to impose the rather ludicrous ban, it is believed that Seagal’s ongoing friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin is more than likely to have contributed to his exile.
The actor is believed to have become close to the Russian President after he called him one of the greatest leaders in the modern world, before famously taking part in a motorcycle rally in support of Putin after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
