Explosive Ordnance Defense team called in after suspicious device discovered

Following a routine drug search in a home in West Dublin, gardai stumbled upon a suspicious device.

A 48-year-old man was questioned by gardai after the discovery of the device.

The device was discovered when gardai were searching a home in the Curragh Hall estate in Tyrellstown, on Tuesday evening.

Officers were searching the home for drugs when the came across the device. The home and street were evacuated and the army’s Explosive Ordnance Defense team were called in.

The object was removed to a secure military location within ten minutes of the arrival of the Explosive Ordnance Defense team.
