London authorities have ordered the deployment of extra police across the city, in response to four murders in five days.
118 people have been murdered in London in 2018 so far.
Knife crime in particular has surged significantly this year. Police officers have seized hundreds of concealed guns and knives during more than 21,000 searches carried out since January.
