ISIS has claimed responsibility for the explosion in Parson’s Green Tube station earlier today.
The claim was made through Amaq, ISIS’ propaganda outlet. According to the statement released, a ‘detachment’ affiliated with ISIS carried out the attack.
29 people were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) partially detonated at Parsons Green station. None of the injuries are thought to be serious.
Experts say that the device had been crudely manufactured, and may have failed to fully explode.
The threat level has been raised to ‘Critical’ on foot of the incident, as authorities believe that further attacks are likely.
