Facebook users in Ireland will begin receiving missing child alerts soon.
Gardai currently uses the Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) alert system, which is broadcast over radio, TV, and electronic road signs.
The system will soon be integrated with Facebook, so the notices can be shared among community users.
