The much hated utility that is Irish Water has today issued what is possibly the only sound advice it has ever given.
The ongoing heatwave means that citizens should start conserving water, as the utility is ‘operating on a knife’s edge’, according to the company.
A number of restrictions have already been put in place.
The dire state of the actual pipe network, a problem which has not yet been meaningfully addressed, is not helping matters.
