20-year-old Brazilian student, Regina Thais De Oliveira, is being accused of making false rape claims last August to gardai in Mountjoy gardai station, Dublin. Regina is to be tried in the district court if she pleads guilty.
Regina previously lived in Cabra Park in Dublin has now moved to Blackrock. She has spent five days in prison were a bail of up to 1,000 has been set.
Regina has made her fourth appearance in court yesterday. Defense solicitor Peter Keatings has asked Judge Anthony Halpin to instruct investigating gardai to hand over video-taped interviews and other statements.
Regina has been ordered to sign on daily at Blackrock gardai station after Judge Anthony Halpin agreed to lighten Regina’s bail condition. She is also instructed to heed a curfew.
