Fears are growing that even drugs such as nexium could see motorists fail a roadside drug test

Fears are growing that even the simplest of prescription drugs could see motorists fail a roadside drug test.

Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI inhibitors) generally are used for people who have a build up of acid in the stomach and thus stops/reduces major indigestion.

Simple drugs such as Nexium and even aspirin are now feared to be ruled in as regards a possible fail at a roadside drug test.

We spoke to a pharmacist who claims that there needs to be far better clarity in regards to what will actually fail in the new roadside drug test.

PPI’s include the following, omeprazole (Prilosec, Prilosec OTC), aspirin and omeprazole (Yosprala), lansoprazole (Prevacid, Prevacid IV, Prevacid 24-Hour), dexlansoprazole (Dexilent, Dexilent Solutab), rabeprazole (Aciphex, Aciphex Sprinkle), pantoprazole (Protonix)
