A third female has been assaulted by a gang of thugs impersonating gardai.
The incident happened on Saturday evening in the Monart East area of Co. Wexford.
The female pulled over after a vehicle behind her began flashing a set of blue lights. She got out of the car and was immediately assaulted by thugs. A small amount of cash was taken, though she was left physically unharmed.
It is the third time that a similar incident happens in the last two months, and Gardai are investigating possible link between the three events.
