It’s been over a month since the General Election, and the country continues adrift and without an effective government structure.

With Enda Kenny all but lost in a mire of confusion and undecisiveness, his arch rival Micheal Martin has seen an upsurge in support as new Taoiseach, a recent poll reveals.

39% of those polled would rather see the Fianna Fáil boss become the new leader, while 17% would keep Enda Kenny in the top spot.

Among Fine Gael supporters, 54% would want Mr. Kenny to be elected Taoiseach, though Leo Varadkar is slowly creeping up as favorite.

Meanwhile, 84% of Fianna Fail supporters would have Micheal Martin put in the driving seat.

Somewhat amazingly, the poll also revealed that 70% of people would not change how they voted, if a second election came to pass.
