Like two kids bickering to be the one holding the flag, the leaders of the two main parties remain entrenched in their own positions, unwilling to budge to the other’s demands.
A power-sharing made by acting Taoiseach Enda Kenny has now been overwhelmingly rejected by Fianna Fail.
The offer centered around a ‘rotaing Taoiseach’ idea, which was not a popular one. Under such scenario, Enda Kenny and Micheal Martin would take turns at the country’s driving seat.
But no such eventuality will come to pass, at least for now. The search for a new Government continues.
