England’s FIFA World Cup campaign has officially ended with a 2-0 defeat to Belgium in the 3rd/4th place play-off.
In a match that was pretty much a dead rubber affair it was Belgium who came out on top to take 3rd place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Although both sides would have preferred to be in tomorrow’s final, it was Belgium who looked the more likely and they took full advantage of a underwhelming England side.
Belgium who now finish the tournament on a high have Meunier and Hazard to thank as their goals proved difference.
