A massive demonstration against extremism took place in London this weekend. The march, which is said to have had 50,000 attendees, was put on by an organization known as the “Football Lads Alliance” or FLA, which is made up from football club supporters from across the UK.

The group was founded by controversial activist Tommy Robinson in response to the stream of Islamic terrorist attacks that have rocked Britain. It is thought up to 70,000 people took part in the demonstration.

The mood in London and other British cities remains extremely tense and threat of more murderous terrorist attacks is ever present.

Despite the massive attendance the march was not given little attention by the UK media. Also, some journalists and politicians have linked the FLA to far right groups saying it is “racist” and “Islamaphoic”.
