Sweden has seen many immigration-related crimes over the past number of years and that led to yesterday’s election seeing right wing party Sweden Democrats get massive gains.
One of Europe’s most liberal nations, Sweden has appeared to have taken a turn for the right amid severe fears from normal, everyday people over immigration.
In Sweden, an influx of 163,000 asylum seekers in 2015 – the most in Europe in relation to the country’s population of 10 million – has completely divived voters for the last number of years.
Sweden is now heading towards a hung parliament as a result of yesterday’s election.
