If you happen to be a Liverpool FC fan the events during the Champions League final on May 26th may have been hard to watch, but it seems am explanation of Loris Karius extremely woeful performance has been given.

Karius who has been the subject of some pretty harsh comments on social media, might just be let off after a new medical report has given some insight into his condition on that disastrous night.

The Liverpool number 1, who has been the butt of plenty of jokes over the last nine days, may have been given a pretty reasonable explanation after latest medical tests proved that the keeper had been suffering from a concussion.

According to Sky Sports News, Karius who was at fault for two of Real Madrid goals apparently recieved a decisive head injury during the game in Kiev just over a week ago.

The latest revalations come after the keeper who is now on a long summer break went to the US for a scan on his brain, and according to the Massachusetts General Hospital the Liverpool shot stopper did indeed suffer a head injury.

In a statement released by the Hospital, doctors treating Karius said the following: “On May 31, 2018 Mr. Karius underwent a comprehensive examination by Dr. Ross Zafonte and Dr. Lenore Herget in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.”

“After carefully reviewing game film and integrating a detailed history – including his reported present and immediate post-contact subjective symptoms – physical examination and objective metrics, we have concluded that Mr. Karius sustained a concussion during the match May 26, 2018.”

The statement added:”We believe visual spatial dysfunction existed and likely occurred immediately following the event”.

Although it is not yet known how Karius received the injury, many in the footballing world believe the Liverpool keeper could have received the injury after he was elbowed in the face by Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos.
