Final spell of summer! Warm spell to return this weekend with temperatures set to be as high as 27C

It looks like Ireland is about to get another spell of summer this coming weekend as the country could see temperatures reaching a dizzying high of 27 degrees.

According to Met Éireann forecaster Jean Byrne the good weather will start on Friday with most of the country experiencing pleasant sunshine throughout the day, Ms Byrne further explained: “Currently the temperature [estimates] are going up to 26C, 27C and the forecasts have been fairly consistent with that,” said Jean Byrne of Met Éireann.

“It’ll be quite breezy as well with a moderate southwesterly, a bit fresher with the winds a bit stronger along Atlantic coasts and duller there with temperatures 18C, 19C, maybe 20C.

“The highest temperatures will be anywhere away from southern and western coasts but particularly across the Midlands and the East.”

However it won’t be all sunshine as showers are expected in many places on Saturday, although the sunshine will return on Sunday with temperatures slightly cooler but still remaining in the low 20’s.
