The hoped-for Indian Summer may not have come to pass, but at least there is some fine and settled weather on the way for the coming weekend.
Saturday in particular is looking very good indeed, with plenty sunshine and dry weather overall. Temperatures will reach 18C in places.
Things will take a turn for the worse late on Sunday though, as an approaching weather front makes landfall by Sunday afternoon.
Next week is expected to turn noticeably cold, as winter looms ever closer. The early part of the week is forecast to be rather cool and showery, with daytime temperatures dipping to low to mid teens. It will be cold at night, with lows of 4 or 5C predicted.
