The national forecaster, Met Eireann has predicted we’re in store for what is being described as a “mini heatwave”.
Although yesterday was relatively warm-ish, except for the strong winds, things are about to improve dramatically over the coming days.
A mass of hot air is currently making its way northwards, bringing temperatures of 18-19C along with it.
The heatwave is set to hit across the east today with temperatures forecast to reach a nice 17c by mid afternoon, before spreading countrywide towards this evening.
