Firefighters from Dublin Fire Brigade have worked through the night in order to control the blaze at the Metro Hotel in Ballymun.

The brave firefighters who thankfully managed to evacuate everyone from the building, are reportedly sweeping through the building and extinguising a number of fires.

It has been reported that at least four fire engines have remained at the scene overnight and firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses have worked relentlessly to keep the fire under control.

The brave efforts of emergency personnel comes after at least five floors were engulfed in flames on Wednesday evening.

It is believed the fire broke out on the 13th floor of the high rise at approximately 8pm which then prompted a mass evacuation.

Thankfully there has been no reports of any casualties and emergency services say everyone who was in the building has been accounted for.
