Firefighters from Limerick City and County Fire service have worked through the night to extinguish a massive fire at a factory.
It is understood the major blaze broke shortly after 8pm on Monday evening, at the United Metals recycling plant in Eastway Business Park.
Although thankfully there were no reported causlities, the fire service urged local residents to keep their windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure.
The major blaze which could be seen from a number of miles away saw nine fore engines in attendance.
