Police in the UK have charged five young boys with rape. Officers for West Yorkshire Police have said that two boys aged 13 and three aged 14 had all been charged with rape of a child under 13 years of age.
Two of the boys, one aged 13 and one 14, have been charged with two counts of rape of a child under 13, another boy aged 13 has been charged with one count of rape of a child under 13 and sexual assault of a child under 13.
The two other boys both aged 14, have been charged with one count of rape of a child under 13.
Police have said the charges brought against the boys relate to two alleged incidents involving the same person in the Calderdale area of West Yorkshire in July last year.
All five boys have since been released on bail and will appear at Calderdale Youth Court on the 20th of August.
