Forecasters say more good weather on the way over the next few days as temperatures expected to hit 20C

The country maybe experiencing a rather unusual warm spell of late which is considered rare for the month of August in Ireland, but forecasters say the good weather looks set to continue for the next couple of days at least.

Forecasters at Met Eireann, say the prolonged Irish will continue with temperatures expecting to hit between 16C and 19C over the coming days. However, it is not all good news as some places will get some rain first thing this morning, although the rest of day will be mainly sunny. The forecast for Wednesday will be much of the same with the morning starting off with a couple rainy spells in places.

However the rest of the day will consist of bright weather along with scattered showers which will move from the west in the afternoon and early evening, with temperatures expecting to be high as 19C. Meanwhile Met Eireann say the rest of the week will remain largely bright with prolonged sunny spells and a slight breeze. There will still be a few scattered showers throughout the country, with heavy rain expected in the west on Thursday and Friday. Although Temperatures are expected to in the region 20C.
